Abstract

This paper explores the necessity of rethinking introductory artificial intelligence education in response to rapid technological advancement and democratized AI tools. It proposes a shift from a traditional prerequisite-driven, theory-first paradigm to an experience-driven model. Early practical interaction with modern AI tools can enhance student intuition, motivation, and practical understanding. The approach is illustrated by its implementation in an introductory AI course for first-year university students.
