The paper presents the results of evaluating the efficiency of the existing information reception, transmission and retranslation system of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during operations. The main factors reducing the effectiveness of UAV employment are identified: the impact of electronic warfare, limited bandwidth of communication channels, instability of data transmission routes, insufficient development of the retranslation node network, and the lack of automated real-time channel monitoring. Based on the evaluation results, four directions for efficiency improvement are substantiated: increasing channel interference immunity, developing the retranslation network and route redundancy, prioritizing information flows, and automated channel quality monitoring. A coherent set of efficiency indicators is proposed to control the implementation results, together with a stepwise approach to their realization.
